Welcome to Darby Cringle Music

Having studied a Bachelor of Music and having over ten years of classical piano experience, Darby is able to offer piano lessons to all ages and a wide range of playing abilities. Further, Darby has completed his Grade 5 AMEB Theory of Music examination, allowing him to offer detailed theory education to all students, whether in practical lessons or in dedicated theory lessons. 

Darby has a large presence within the Rockhampton music community. He is a member of the Capricornia Silver Band, playing in the Cap Academy and Cap Wind bands on both flute and percussion. Darby has also performed in several seasons of the Rockhampton Symphony Orchestra on cello, ranging from classical to musical theatre style concerts. 

Darby can frequently be found in musical pit orchestras playing keyboard, cello or percussion. He has played for community and school productions. Previous shows include: Wicked, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, Shrek, Anastasia, 9 to 5, The Last Five Years, and The Addams Family. Darby has also worked on several music creative teams as Assistant Musical Director, such as Peter Pan, Anything Goes, The Wiz and & Juliet.

Currently, Darby is studying a Master of Secondary Teaching at The University of New England, furthering his educational studies.
